Psychology 3721F/G – The Psychology of Persuasion

An examination of social psychological theories and research relating to attitude formation and change. Both persuasion of others and self-persuasion will be considered. Specific topics to be covered include the effects of fear appeals, race relations and prejudice, mass media, communications, advertising, and sex role stereotypes. Antirequisite(s): Psychology 3710F/G, 3723F/G.
