Nursing 3362A/B – Professional Practice in Communities

This course provides an opportunity for students to engage with the community as client. A partnership approach is used to engage a community in identifying their health issues and then developing and implementing a sustainable health promotion initiative. The main goal of this professional practice course is to critically reflect on the influence of socioenvironmental determinants of health on populations and the role of nursing in primary health care. Antirequisite(s): Prerequisite(s): Registration in Year 3 of the Western-Fanshawe Collaborative BScN program.
