Physiology and biochemistry of plants with emphasis on primary plant metabolism, including: photosynthesis, respiration, photorespiration, and nutrient assimilation. Other topics include plant-soil relationships, herbicides, phytoremediation, photomorphogenesis, medicinal plants, plant products and alternative fuels. Antirequisite(s): The former Biology 305a.
