Women’s Studies 2152A/B – Jewish Women Artists and Patrons of the Twentieth Century

This course examines Jewish women artists and patrons of the twentieth century to understand their contributions to the visual arts in the decades preceding and following the Holocaust. Drawing on their artworks, we explore how they struggled with and reacted to anti-Semitism and sexism in the art world and society.
