Visual Arts Studio 2230 – Introduction to Mechanical Reproduction: Photography & Alternative Photographic Practices

An introduction to technical processes relating to Print Media including alternative photographic processes and digital production. Print Media practices include relief, intaglio, screen print and lithography, while digital explorations trace the evolution of hypertext and distributed print-based graphics. The course emphasizes experimentation and integration of these media within a critical/historical context. Antirequisite(s): VAS 2232A/B, 2234A/B and 2236A/B. Prerequisite(s): VAS 1020 or VAS 1025.
