Spanish 4414F/G – Bilingualism

This course examines the question of the interactions of Spanish and other languages in the individual mind/brain. It compares early bilinguals and bilinguals who have learned a second (or third) language later in life. Topics include differences between bilingual and monolingual language development, code mixing and transfer between languages. Antirequisite(s): Prerequisite(s): Corequisite(s): Pre-or Corequisite(s): Spanish 3303A/B with a minimum standing of 60% or permission of the Department.
