Sociology 4434F/G – Social Movements and Protest

This course examines topics such as the development and decline of social movements, why some people become activists, protest tactics, and state repression of activism. As part of this course, students will research and collect original data on a social movement in the community. Antirequisite(s): Prerequisite(s): Enrollment in fourth year of Honors Specialization or Honors Double Major in Sociology or Criminology.
