Kinesiology 2911Q/R/S/T – Sailing

An introduction to sailing as a physical recreation activity. Course content will include physical and psychosocial factors affecting lifelong enjoyment of sailing, consideration of safety and etiquette, and selected skills associated with the fundamental understanding of wind, water, and sailing boats. Antirequisite(s): The former Kinesiology 2211Q/R/S/T. Prerequisite(s): Completion of the first year Kinesiology program and registration in Kinesiology. Successful completion of Kinesiology 2215Q/R/S/T or equivalent verified skill level in swimming. Corequisite(s): Pre-or Corequisite(s): Extra Information: 30 lecture/laboratory hours, 0.25 course.
