English 3880F/G – First Nations Literatures

This course will introduce students to a diverse range of Indigenous cultural practices, primarily North American, which might include oral narratives, writings, and visual and performance materials. Students will also consider how these practices both shape and are shaped by specific historical and geographical contexts. Antirequisite(s): First Nations Studies 3880F/G. Prerequisite(s): At least 60% in 1.0 of English 1020E or 1022E or 1024E or 1035E or 1036E or both English 1027F/G and 1028F/G, or permission of the Department, or First Nations Studies 1020E.
